Our company was founded in 1994. DIMAP is an enterprise owned by solely the map makers which is unusual in the business of cartography. DIMAP aims to create maps with high quality appearance and superb content to be distributed on the free market.

Most of DIMAP's products are based on the owners' ideas, but the company also takes special orders for informational or promotional maps that are designed by the specifications of the customer.

The majority of the work gets done by a 5-member team, made up by map makers, working as independent contractors. Our Transylvania maps are designed by native experts.

We would like to say special thanks to those customers who help us with their valuable comments.

Our first publication was a Transylvania map with three-language settlement names, and this topic has become DIMAP's favorite. Since then we have made many other maps of Transylvania, and hopefully this series will continue.


DIMAP was one of the first ones to switch to the digital map-design technology. We areproud of the fact that our Budapest map was one of the first digital ones on the market. The majority of our maps (in their entireness or any part of them) are also available in a digital form for further use.
